Ice Skating

As a combined Young Woman's group we went ice skating. We had a blast together. For some, it was a hard go of it but they persevered, for others, they picked it up really quick. In the end, it doesn't matter how fast we go as long as we help each other!

Sewing Beehives....

The Beehives decided to learn how to sew mittens for their mutual activity. The girls were told to bring sewing machines and a fantastic  lady from our ward, Holli Lund,  donated fleece that she had stored away in her craft room at home.

 Emma V (Yes we have three Emma's) and Natalie K cutting out their mittens. They were suppose to trace their hand, giving themselves a two inch extra radius for the hem. 

 Sister Hammond was so kind to come help, I didn't think I could help 12 girls sew all on my own and she was totally inspired to come volunteer!

 Sister Albertson also stayed and helped. She is getting Sydney set up, that sewing machine kept getting the tension too tight and the string would break. 

 Boys came into our mist looking for candy but we ran them off! Sister Maughan also took a group of girls and helped them sew their mittens.

 One of the girls didn't follow the two inch seem allowance guidline and ended up with a crab glove. I couldn't stop laughing. It just makes me smile watching these girls learn from eachother. 

 These awesome group of girls make my day! I laugh with them, I cry with them, I learn with them. We have such a great time together, I feel blessed to be around them all the time!

They may look like they are huge mittens on the girls but at least they will be warm! Even crab gloves are warm...I'm still laughing whenever I see those claws!

For exactly two weeks and 3 seconds I have been working on divine nature in my personal progress. I just finished the one where it says be kind to one of your family members. I was kind for two weeks and 3 seconds to Matt, my brother he is hyper seriously hyper.

Get to know you games

One of our Tuesday night  mutual activities included get to know you games. I, Courtney Heath, was just called into the Young Women's Program and so I wanted to have an opportunity to know more about the girls I am blessed to teach and lead over. 

We played a game using skittles where each color of skittle represented a certain color. If you pull out a yellow skittle then you tell your favorite food. Blue: You tell a memory from your childhood. Red: An item that you just couldn't live without, etc....

Here Shaylee and Tory look like they are going crazy or falling asleep but I promise you that we had a really fun night learning about how some people can't live without camels and chap stick, to hearing about someone's first kiss. Don't worry, everything was rated G and we had a blast learning all about each other. 

 Here the girls were competing to see who could do a wall sit the longest. I think that Tory Lund won. I was out pretty quick so I hurried to take a picture. (In my defence, I did just do squats that morning!)

 Emma Clinger is amazing, she always jumps in to play the piano for us. I wish I could play and I admire that she is willing to always play for us! Yes, she shares her talents with us, do you share your talents? If not, stop hiding your light under a bushel and start sharing so all may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven!!

Talents Rock

I learn how to sew today. I sewed two necklaces one for me my sister:  Rachel. At first it was very hard but then it got easier. I am now blessed with the talent of sewing.

Stand in Holy Places

Our Young Woman's theme this year is Stand in Holy Places. What does this mean? Do we put ourselves in situations or positions that will enable us to feel the spirit and grow closer to our Savior? 

If you ever need a safe haven, the Temple is the place to be. The Temple, or the House of the Lord, is a great place to come and feel the peace and love that our Father in Heaven has for us. At the Temple you can receive guidance and direction for your life and your loved ones. 

We had an opportunity to visit the Temple grounds and take some pictures with a few of our sweet young women.  These girls are daughters of God and He knows them personally!

Farewell Friends

These two sisters have been in our ward for 7 of the best months of our lives. Unfortunately, they are moving on to great pastures in Montana. We will greatly miss their sweet spirits and amazing friendships! Hopefully they won't forget us!

Sydney: Big speas was at my tent at girls camp and I swept the floor and she said she was impressed with my sweeping. 

Emily: Umm, I really have enjoyed Lexi and Haylee being here, I have been to their house a few times and them to us and I have really enjoyed their friendship!

Emma: DO NOT UNTIE MY SHOELACE!!!!!

Natalie: The Speas are so cool there's nothing really to say....

Sister Kohler: Even though they were only here for a short time, they really let their light shine. Their testimonies touched me!

Emma: Lexi is as cute as a bunny, just like the camp song.

Shaylee: Uhhh, Uhhh, They're awesome, the end!
